Joseph B. Byrne

In recognition of the pioneering direction of Joe Byrne for his ethical, moral, and passionate approach to safety leadership which supported the first 25 years of the company’s growth.

Born in Prince Edward Island, with a love for mechanics and the restoration of vintage trucks and cars, Joe’s tenure with the company was from the early 1980s to his retirement in the early 1990s.

Joe’s character, integrity, and amiable approach to the company’s objectives, our customers, and the people he worked with left an undeniable impact to which Seaboard Transport Group’s safety standards are built on today.

We thank you Joe.

Sonny Swinamer

Sonny Swinamer

In memory and recognition of Sonny Swinamer, who was one of the first employees of the Seaboard Transport Group.  Sonny was a vital member of the organization during the company’s transition from Cape Breton Island to mainland Nova Scotia, helping establish an office in Dartmouth, NS in the early 1980s.

Sonny’s initial role was focused on production work where he was responsible for railhead siding and customer relations.  Later on, he became one of Seaboard’s first Owner Operators running under his company name of Triple T Transport. The name Triple T Transport was derived from the first letter of each of his three son’s names: Troy, Todd and Trevor.

Sonny was a true professional, a problem solver and was a major asset to the growth of our dispatching center.   He possessed a resilient work ethic which was recognized by all who knew him. He was a loyal and honest man whose family was his first priority. His passion for trucking was second to none.

We thank you Sonny.
